Emma is a talented local designer, so we thought it best that she describes her work in her own words…
“I started making jewellery 18 years ago at Epsom School of Art and Design, where I completed an H.N.D. in Jewellery Design. I then worked in the trade making wedding rings and fine jewellery for a small manufacturing company for six years.
After having two lovely little girls I returned to making jewellery with fresh ideas and realised how much I had missed designing and creating.
It is often every day things that inspire me to make jewellery. Small, but to me memorable happenings, like a swift caught behind a bedroom curtain or a rediscovered childhood birthday card.
I also embrace the influence of other cultures and eras. I rarely make two pieces the same, so I’m always looking forward to trying something new.”
